MARKET MATES – UPDATE
Come and join us at the Palm Beach Farmers’ Market Saturday 5 March 2022. For the past 20 years we’ve always operated rain, hail or shine and have only had to cancel our markets twice in that time and that’s when cyclones hit the Gold Coast. So if it happens to be wet tomorrow morning you can rest assured that most of your favourite stallholders will be waiting to say hello to you.
We’ve all been bombarded with the shocking images and news of the flooding in SE Qld and Northern NSW and understand all too well the human costs of such terrible weather events when homes, livelihoods and our precious livestock and pets are swept away. And of course our local farmers are not immune from all this damage with farms being flooded, crops destroyed and access roads and bridges washed away.
Our hero farmers have been working tirelessly to make sure that, if possible, they can bring whatever produce they can to Palm Beach for you. It’s impossible for some stallholders with homes, motor vehicles, bakeries and stock damaged or destroyed, with Bartley Organic Fruits and Vegetables, Real Food Farm Gate, Yummioh Organic Breads, Eclairs at the Bay and Nut Mylk not being able to attend this weekend. We send our love and best wishes to all those affected and look forward to seeing them again soon.
