The future of Honey in Oz

The future of honey and the bees that produce it is in jeopardy due to global issues like chemical use, climate change, and habitat loss. Adding to the challenge, Varroa mite has reached Australia, posing a significant threat to our honey and pollination-dependent crops like apricots, blueberries, cashews, canola, almonds and lots more. Despite efforts, this pest remains uncontrolled, only affecting European honey bees, but not the amazing little Australian native bee. Support our cause by visiting Miss Busy Bee at Palm Beach Farmers’ Market every Saturday alongside Jim’s Fruit & Vegetables to learn more about the different honeys on offer, including Australian Manuka with all its healing agents and help sustain our bee populations
